New search engne for shopping
Search engines are so useful and convenient that it is hardly surprising that consumers begin researching a new fridge, Whirlpool Washing Machines or other big-ticket items that are needed in a hurry, online at their favorite search engine.
Consumer research estimates that up to 75% of big-ticket product buyers will do all their product research online, but 90% of them will make their final purchases offline at local retailers. Product research online often starts with the search engines, but search engines typically are unable to find and deliver results pinpointing specific local stores.
Now the popularity of a brand new search engine launched in February 2007, called Krillion is set to change everything. The new search engine scours the Web to find, integrate and present actionable local search results for the ready-to-buy consumer.
